We also want the actresses face to be a bit dirty to once again highlight how long she has been on the streets and to reflect issues homeless people have to deal with, such as lack of sanitation and hygiene. The make up and hair must be naturalistic and not over the top to fit into our genre of social realism as this allows the character to be more relatable to the audience.
As for the costume we think the actress should be covered in a blanket as this is a stereotype of what homeless people use to keep warm and to sleep on, this will reinforce to the audience the sort of hardships and issues homeless people have to deal with every day.
